The Robotino is equipped with two Ethernet ports – one for the embedded PC and one for the microcontroller.
Ethernet port to the embedded PC
Function
You can establish a direct connection from your PC/notebook to the control computer in
the Robotino via the Ethernet port to the embedded PC.
On delivery, the
embedded PC’s IP address for this connection is 172.27.1.1. Since the embedded PC does
not support DHCP, you will need to configure a static IP address for your network card,
for example 172.27.1.100 with subnet mask 255.255.0.0, before establishing a connection
with the Robotino.
Ethernet port to the microcontroller
Function
You can establish a connection from your PC/notebook to the microcontroller via the
second Ethernet port.
On delivery, the microcontroller’s IP address for this
connection is 172.27.254.254. The microcontroller does not support DHCP either. This
means that you will need to configure a static IP address for your network card for the
connection to the embedded PC, for example 172.27.1.100 with subnet mask 255.255.0.0,
before establishing a connection with the Robotino.
